Handing over a site the client can actually edit

The best compliment I get is silence. If a client never emails to ask how to change their opening hours, the handover worked.

Design the CMS, not just the pages

I plan the content fields as carefully as the layout. A team member should be able to add a project or a news post by filling in a form, with no chance of breaking the page.

Record it, don’t write it

Nobody reads a 20-page manual. Instead I record short screen videos, one per task, each under three minutes: add a post, swap a photo, change a price.

Book a check-in a month later

By then the questions are real ones. Half an hour on a call usually clears them all up, and it’s free for every project.
