Orders came in by phone, text and social media messages, and the morning team spent the first hour of every shift copying them onto a whiteboard. The old site still showed last year’s opening hours and had no way to order.
I spent two early mornings behind the counter before drawing anything. The site is built around one job: order by 9pm, collect from 7am. Each shop has its own page and hours, the menu comes from a sheet the team already keeps, and orders print straight to the kitchen.
Phone orders halved within six weeks and the whiteboard has gone. The team change the menu themselves, and nobody has asked me to update opening hours since launch.
