Members got a yearly PDF report, and every question went to one volunteer treasurer. The generation data existed, but nobody could see it.
We picked the six questions members ask most and designed a screen for each. Charts use patterns as well as colour, every number has a plain-English label and the whole thing works with a screen reader.
About 1,400 of the co-op’s 2,100 members log in each month, and questions to the treasurer fell by more than half.
